Mary - Sometimes Seeing IS Believing

After a drive to a factory area outside of Yangon, we came upon a busy marketplace serving local workers. As we walked through the stalls, Josiah and Phoebe led us to a small pharmaceutical booth where we were reunited with a deeply loved young woman who had been raised at Hope.

Mary has long held a special place in our hearts. Our board member, Dawn, has faithfully prayed for and supported her over the years, watching as Mary worked to find her path in the world. It was a joy to see that she has found direction, a church, and a sense of family.

In Myanmar, working in a pharmacy requires completing a four-month course, after which individuals can begin working. To receive full pay - often around $100 per month -they must also complete a year-long internship. Mary is currently on that journey, building a future for herself step by step.

She was overjoyed by our visit and especially encouraged to hear that Dawn continues to pray for her. Moments like these remind us that sometimes, seeing truly is believing
