One student is named Naw Tet Tet Moe.  Her father works every day doing odd jobs to support his family.  Her mother has a baby so she can’t go to work.   Sometimes Naw Tet Tet Moe has to work during the day, catching fish.  But she is doing well in school.  She wants to become a school teacher to teach the village children.  Her favorite subject is English.  She says it is her favorite because “it is an international language.”

Another student is Zaw Lay Bwe.  There are six people in his family.  His father’s health is not good, so he can not work very much.  Zaw Law Bwe is a strong boy.  He gets up early each morning to catch fish, crab and shrimp for his family.  When he is sure he gets enough for everyone in the family, he gives them to his mother to cook.  Then he comes to school.  He does all his homework right after school, before dark, so he can get up early to provide food for his parents and siblings.  He wants to become an evangelist.  His favorite subject is math.  He likes to solve problems.
